The USA dollar

The bank note of the USA dollar appeared in 1861. At that time the Congress decided to make the first national money on the sum 50-60 million dollars. And the face was limited by three signs – 5, 10, 20 dollars.
The USA dollar is the main and the most stable international currency. The word dollar appeared from the German one "taller" that was the money in 150s in Germany. Taller was the big, round coin made of silver. In Spain these coins were named peso and very often were called "The Spanish dollars".
There are several theories about the appearance of dollars sign $. This sign was put on pesos in 1732. These coins were made in mint in Mexico and were used in the North American colonies of Spain.
And the meaning of the sign is: the vertical lines are the Pillars of Hercules and the symbol S means the water or the waves of the Golf. And in the result the sign had to mean that Spain is the great maritime country.
And when the Congress adapted the dollar, it left the ordinary sign but introduced two kinds of dollar that were the silver and the golden one. That is why the value of the dollar changed in the dependence on the metal. And to delete the competition between these two coins, the Congress decided to refuse from the silver face and left only the golden one. And the golden equivalent was adapted that corresponded to one dollar and the bank note of the dollar became the prof of the gold keeping in bank.
